Here are some of my favorite places to visit on the Internet, and why. Not in any particular order.

  • www.pricewatch.com - Absolutely, positively the best place for finding low prices for pc components.
  • www.cdw.com - Not only a great place to buy parts, but one of the most complete and accurate resources for component specifications. You want to know what kind of connector that monitor requires? It's here.
  • www.motherboards.org - Good place to get specs if you're going to build a pc.
  • www.barnesandnoble.com - They just don't make me feel as violated as other big online bookstores.
  • www.motorcycledaily.com - A well-brewed blend of magazine-like information and the informal style of the Internet. I find it relaxing.
  • www.hollywoodvideo.com - Because I'm a movie junkie. Not because of great usability. Sometimes you have to finish your dhtml.
  • www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail.html - If you are from my generation, it will crack you up, too.
  • www.suntimes.com/index/ebert.html - No end to the wit.
  • www.cyclepages.com - Where to go for that hard-to-find motorcycle part. Just make sure you have a lot of time, because it is slower than a kid eating brussel sprouts. Somebody PLEASE hire them a DBA.
  • www.bikebandit.com - Mucho bike parts. Excellent if you are like me, and you're really good at breaking stuff on your motorcycle.
